The Czech Republic knocked out Finland on the Swedish Euro Hockey Tour on Saturday 3–1.
In the second game of the day, Sweden had to make a real twist against Switzerland. Tre Kronor won 3-2 during the extra time.
Switzerland knocked down the Lions with a strong performance in the opening match of the 3–2 EHT at the Nokia Arena in Tampere on Thursday.
Now it has led Sweden with two goals, helped by its NHL reinforcements. San Jose Sharks Timo Meier hit the Swiss in the leadership of the New Jersey Devils top center Nico Hischierin from the feed.
Defender of the Arizona Coyotes Janis Moser added to the Swiss lead five seconds before the end of the opening round. Meier and Hischier scored.
Sweden is over
Tre Kronor also had NHL confirmations in the game. Columbus Blue Jackets Emil Bemström narrowed in time to 27.04.
Five minutes later, the top of the Vancouver Canucks Oliver Ekman-Larsson leveled the game.
Henrik Tömmernes sealed a 3-2 victory for Sweden in a time of 62.54.
Finland will meet Sweden on Sunday at 5 p.m. Switzerland and the Czech Republic are already playing at 1 p.m.
Finland, Sweden and the Czech Republic will play in the World Championships in Tampere in Group B, Switzerland will play in Helsinki in Group A.
