Is there a topic at BVB? Boss of TSG 1899 Hoffenheim shows a clear edge

After there were rumors recently that David Raum could imagine a move to Borussia Dortmund, Hoffenheim’s sports director Alexander Rosen has now made a clear statement about the national player’s situation.

“He recently extended his contract until 2026. This constellation gives us full authority to act, we are behind the wheel,” Rosen told the “kicker”.

At the beginning of April, the “Sport Bild” reported that Raum sees BVB as a sensible career step in the medium term. At the same time, the newspaper wrote that the left-back has long been the focus of black and yellow.

Rosen is not surprised by the interest in space as the 24-year-old has enjoyed a steep rise since joining from SpVgg Greuther Furth last summer. With three goals and eleven assists, he has long been one of the top performers at TSG and has played his way into the national team. “David’s development is breathtaking,” Rosen praised the defender.

Rosen: Rumors about space remain “topic” at TSG 1899 Hoffenheim

Despite all the speculation, Rosen believes there is still room for a long time to come, but stressed: “Of course I’m aware that we could always be confronted with this issue with this category of players in the future.”

Hoffenheim is currently in 8th place with Raum and after six games without a win on Saturday (6:30 p.m.) is hoping for a three-pointer against SC Freiburg in the fight for Europe.

“The race for international places is currently the most exciting thing the Bundesliga has to offer, and we’re still in it three games before the end of the season,” said Rosen, adding: “The game against Freiburg isn’t a classic final. But that’s clear also that there is a lot at stake between direct competitors on Saturday evening.”
