Is the ex-MP throwing gasoline on the flames with a fake photo? The shot from the “border” looks strange

The former member of parliament of the Basic Finns shared a photo on the X service, the authenticity of which quickly raised questions.

Member of Parliament for Basic Finns in 2011–2015 Reijo Tossavainen shared a picture on the X service on Wednesday, which has caused the alarm bells of the commentators to ring.

– Unofficial information says that there is a record number of arrivals behind the border barrier, Tossavainen writes in connection with the photo he shared.

The picture shows a group of hundreds of people queuing for their turn to go to a person who looks like a border guard or a policeman in the middle of a snowy landscape.

The text written by Tossavainen and the arrangement of the picture with its high border fences bring to mind that the picture is somehow related to the tense situation on the eastern border. However, Tossavainen does not say this directly.

At the time of writing this article, the publication has been seen by more than 60,000 people, and it has also been liked nearly 800 times. The publication has also been forwarded more than 70 times.

“Is it just me or…”

When you take a closer look at the picture, you quickly realize that it doesn’t look like a real photo. This has also caught the attention of numerous X users.

– Is it just me or is there something really strange about you guys’ tires? asks one and points to the part of the photo that can be seen next to it, where behind the tires there also seems to be a foot that does not belong to anyone.

Among other things, this part of the photo reveals it as manipulated or created with artificial intelligence.

– You’re not really trying to tell me that you believed this kind of image manipulation, are you? Don’t you? wonders another.

– It seems to be an AI-generated image, the third doubts.

– Tires of the wheels, how does it hurt, extra tread, etc.

– Who are you trying to fool with this artificial intelligence image? asks one.

Especially the tires of the bicycles on the left side of the picture seem strange. Instead of being round, as bike tires tend to be, they look very impractical.

In addition, people’s faces are distorted and their features are very unclear, as is often the case in photos generated by artificial intelligence, for example.
