It is a bit painful for Eva Jinek: she was once the celebrated woman at night, but after all her mega holidays seems to have dozed off a bit. Now she is deeply in the shadow of Arjen Lubach.
Arjen Lubach is suddenly the new crowd pleaser in the late evening. On many evenings, his Evening Show with Arjen Lubach charms more than a million viewers. Yesterday there were slightly less because of football, namely 835 thousand (15% market share), but still enough to get past Eva Jinek.

Eva could count on only 505 thousand viewers (11%). And that while her program started at exactly the same time as Arjen’s. Is it true that she is bothered by her new competitor? According to Jeffrey Koen of media agency Dentsu, that conclusion cannot be drawn just like that.
Jeffrey tells NU.nl: “Lubach and Jinek started exactly on the same day. In the transition from Beau to Jinek on February 21, we see a minimal decrease in viewing figures. So we cannot say that these viewers come from one program or channel.”
Football on one
On to prime time: football was the big number one there. The Ajax – Benfica match could count on more than 1.9 million viewers (36%). Carlo Boszhard was the most viewed alternative with Married At First Sight; that RTL 4 program was good for 884 thousand viewers (16%).
SBS 6 takes bronze with 818 thousand viewers (15%) for the Gillis family and 621 thousand viewers (11%) for Today Inside. NPO 1 is very disappointing with the Netherlands Chooses: The Debate. Only 446 thousand people (8%) watched it.

Programs that (also) did not reach the top fifteen viewing figures include Lang Leve De Liefde (459 thousand), Hart van Nederland (458 thousand), Shownieuws (407 thousand), HLF8 (287 thousand) and Big Brother (286 thousand).
