Is Larry Mullen Jr. no longer working with the band?

Bono, Adam Clayton and Matt Damon are currently at the Berlinale to present the documentary Kiss the Future, which explores the punk movement that held the fort in Sarajevo during the Yugoslav war – and how U2 contributed to who gave a concert in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1997.

It was already known that not only guitarist The Edge, but also drummer Larry Mullen, Jr. would not travel to Berlin for promotional purposes. The drummer recently announced that he could not perform with the band at their planned Las Vegas residency due to health reasons. But that alone wouldn’t explain why, as a U2 member, he doesn’t get involved in other projects, ones that don’t require him to be musically active.
