Bono, Adam Clayton and Matt Damon are currently at the Berlinale to present the documentary Kiss the Future, which explores the punk movement that held the fort in Sarajevo during the Yugoslav war – and how U2 contributed to who gave a concert in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1997.
It was already known that not only guitarist The Edge, but also drummer Larry Mullen, Jr. would not travel to Berlin for promotional purposes. However, fell U2tour.de Now it’s revealed that Mullen, Jr. is the only U2 member not interviewed for the film – and that his name is even missing from the credits.
The drummer recently announced that he could not perform with the band at their planned Las Vegas residency due to health reasons. But that alone wouldn’t explain why, as a U2 member, he doesn’t get involved in other projects, ones that don’t require him to be musically active.
So far, there has been no statement from U2 about the future with Larry – of course, there is now speculation on social media as to whether the 61-year-old may no longer be able to get involved – or want to:
