Islamic State (IS) has a new leader, the terrorist group reported Thursday. The organization also confirmed in a statement the death of his predecessor, Abu Ibrahim Al Hashimi Al Quraishi, in February. He had been at the helm since 2019 and blew himself up during an American operation in northern Syria. After that, it remained silent from IS.
