The British postal service, or Royal Mail, has released a new series of stamps, the main star of which is the heavy metal band Iron Maiden. There are 12 different brands and four of them feature the band’s iconic Eddie mascot.

Eight of the signs have a concert photo of the band. The oldest photo is from 1983 and the most recent from 2018. However, one shot is from a place familiar to Finns, namely from the 2018 concert in Helsinki.

Pictured is a guitarist Adrian Smith and bassist Steve Harris playing with their backs to their instruments in red lighting. The concert was held in May 2018 at the then Hartwall Arena.

Pictured are all published Iron Maiden stamps. They will go on sale in the UK on January 12th. PDO

– We were all really surprised when we heard about the project – in a good way. The stamps are really wonderful and I think they capture Maiden’s energy, Harris commented on the stamps at the band’s official on the website.

In the past, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Queen and The Rolling Stones have appeared on Royal Mail stamps.

The total price of the Iron Maiden stamp sheet is around 20 euros.
