Iron Maiden Flight 666

In February and March 2008 Iron Maiden wrote music history: in just 45 days the musicians gave 23 concerts in arenas and stadiums in Asia, Australia and North, Central and South America. That was only possible because the heavy metal veterans had their own plane, the Ed Force One, and their tireless captain, singer Bruce Dickinson, in the cockpit.

The adventurous tour that saw Iron Maiden circumnavigate the world (with crew and twelve tons of stage equipment) in the now decommissioned Boeing 757 resulted in half a million people in 13 countries getting the chance to see the group live.

The documentary “Iron Maiden – Flight 666” shows this Herculean act, but also how the band is always on fire in front of and behind the stage. Of course, the musicians not only have stress with this mammoth program, but also a lot of fun and a spirit that can hardly be compared, which is well captured in this film.
