Now that Irene Moors’ TV career has failed, she has focused on coaching presenters. “She teaches them how to process criticism. Then I think: take a lesson yourself!”
Irene Moors has seen her TV career completely decline. In recent years we’ve only seen her in lottery commercials, complaining about juice channels and hitting a shuffleboard. After rumors that she would be rude and mean in real life, the presenter called out that types like Yvonne Coldeweijer would be a threat to the media world.
We Want Moors
It is a shame what happened to her, says Telegraaf reporter Jordi Versteegden in the podcast Strictly Private. “I thought: dear, dear, Irene… You were once my great idol, back then with Carlo Boszhard and Life & Cooking and De TV Kantine, but I feel like there is so little left of her, while I think: I think she deserves so much more.”
Private star journalist Jan Uriot then: “Well, at least she earns enough money, because she has her own company called We Want Moors… She coaches people who present for 500 euros per half day. Then you can get a lesson from Mrs. Moors. If you take a course with her, you can also choose ‘dealing with media’.”
Bad experience
What do you learn from Irene? “Processing criticism and how do you deal with the press. Then I think: maybe she should take a lesson herself, because I had a very bad experience with her. I spoke to her last August and she said to me at a premiere: ‘Carlo’s book is closed. I like round numbers, it’s done.’”
Jan wrote an article about that. “And then it’s all not true. Then she starts to be very annoying. Then I called her on the podcast I do with Marc-Marie and she hung up the phone. Then I think: if you teach how people should deal with media, then you can also take a lesson yourself.”
Never good again
Jan never settled his dispute with Irene. “No, that’s not necessary anymore. She shouldn’t play nonsense with me and I shouted this at length everywhere, like: ‘Behave yourself.’ I didn’t make it up.”
