Apparently in everything. Fosca is a hurricane, instinctive, it doesn’t care about aesthetics at all. Giuliana is the opposite. In common, however, they have the fact that they are two very good women in their work, which they do with passion, perhaps even too much. Both have justice and truth as their goals, but they come to us in completely different ways and this often causes them to clash. Over time, however, their relationship will also change.

And what about you, what do you have in common with your Giuliana?
We are stubborn in the same way, but otherwise I must admit that we are little alike. Another thing we have in common is the desire to make friends, solidarity and group with other women. This desire belongs to me too.

Do you also have many friends in the cinema world?
Of course, and those who say that strong ties between women cannot arise due to the “typical” rivalry of our environment are very wrong. For me, it’s a question of intelligence. I have a kind of sixth sense and I usually bond with someone who has the same sixth sense as me. For example, with Anna Valle it was immediate love. We met on a stage ladder, we smiled and said goodbye and we never left each other. And the same goes for two or three other people, very special, and I met one of them on this set.

Have you bonded with each other?
Yes, a wonderful group of women has been created. We had dinner together after work, chatting and laughing among ourselves, and it is not to be taken for granted. Then, after two years locked up at home, it is even more important to recognize the beauty of some simple moments in life, of which I am crazy. Seeing Sanremo also filled me with joy: the artists finally expressed themselves, they urgently needed and needed to sing, look the audience in the eye, hear applause.

Will you go back to live performances too?
Yes, I’ll be back to the theater in a while, let’s resume The blue room, Serena Sinigaglia’s show interrupted last year where I act with Fabio Troiano (below). Then I will also be in the cinema with the film Backstage by Cosimo Alemà, which will be released in the summer. At the theater instead we should leave on March 30th, the day after my birthday!

By the way, how do you see this 50th birthday approaching?
I am very excited, as if who knows what were to happen! Seriously, I am very happy with what I have done so far and curious about what will happen “next”. I’ve been thinking about this birthday since we were in the first lockdown. I said to myself: “Thank goodness I don’t do them now, I want that day to be crazy, I want to dance all night and sing like crazy”. Then we got to today and it won’t be easy to organize something, I don’t know if I’ll be able to have the party I had in mind. Then I have a strange feeling: on this birthday I go there as if I were a guest, it doesn’t seem to me to be the birthday girl. I’m going curious to see what happens at this party.

What gift would you like to receive?
I would like to go on a trip, I am attracted by the East but also by a nice coast-to-coast. I have a crazy need to travel, it is very good for the head and also for the soul. Even my boys.

I am a mother in half, divided, torn … When I am at home I am present at 1000%, perhaps too much, but I really love being with my family. Sometimes, like any mother, I would like to kill everyone, of course, but I think it’s normal! When I am away for work it is different, even if I always try to hear from my children. My professional life is possible because I have a partner who always supports me, even in my difficult choices. We are interchangeable with him, we share the tasks equally. He is always the first to push me to leave if I want to follow a work project. And this helps me a lot, because we working women already have a thousand feelings of guilt.
