Those who registered a demonstration under the motto “Solidarity with Iranian protests” had expected 5,000 participants.
That’s how many had gathered at the Brandenburg Gate two weeks ago to support their compatriots in the Islamic Republic or to show solidarity with the life-threatening protests in Iran.
Only about 200 people attended the rally on Saturday. The demonstrators were still quiet Not. Their demand: nothing less than the removal of the regime and democracy for the women and men in Iran.
