Ira De Laurentiis: ‘We are selling off football, we don’t know how to administer it’

The president of Napoli prematurely left the Lega Assembly which included expressions of interest from funds and other forms of financing on the agenda

Aurelio De Laurentiis is visibly embittered. He leaves early the Lega meeting underway in Rome where expressions of interest from private equity and other forms of financing are also on the agenda. “They’re selling off football,” says the Napoli president walking quickly towards his car.

THE FUNDS

He then explains: “The funds do their job, we are the ones who are selling off football because we don’t know how to administer it. Has a decision been made on advisors and funds? Ask those who remained in the assembly”.
