The race comes to life

The program has reached the fourth episode and is preparing for the semi-final on Wednesday 20 December. The mechanism is still the same as in previous episodes. Competitors perform alone and in pairs with their team leader. The performance is examined by the jury, which assigns a score from 1 to 10.

At the end of all performances, a first partial classification emerges. And this is where the studio audience of 100 people comes into play. The verdict of the audience is added to the votes of the judges and can therefore overturn the final result. It didn’t end here, because the last word belongs to Chiara Tortorella, speaker of R101the official radio of I sing generation.

In every episode he has the opportunity to save – in agreement with the judges – two boys of the team that finished in last place. Accompanying the competitors, in addition to the host, is the orchestra directed by maestro Valeriano Chiaravalle.

Michelle Hunziker, first time judge

Among the judges, Michelle Hunziker stands out. For the Swiss presenter it is the first experience in these roles. However, it is not the first time that it has been part of a musical program. In her career, in addition to the Festivalbar in 2002 and 2003 and the two Sanremo Festivals (2007, 2018), Celebrity Friends And All together now.

«It’s the first time I’ve been a judge in Italy»he revealed to very true, «Gerry asked me and I couldn’t say no». About her colleagues she says: «I am very happy because it is a team of joyful people entertained by this beautiful format and with experience. We have two singers who know their stuff”, she adds, referring to Al Bano and Orietta Berti. «I grew up with music, I live in music, for me it has always been the common thread of my life», she specifies.

Regarding the talents of the competitors, he underlines the “singing level”. «There is some incredible talent out there. Here we are not talking about small children, but about pre-adolescents and adolescents. They are very sure of themselves and it seems that they are not afraid.”

«I sing generation it must be a party”

Over the course of the episodes he proved to be a fair judge, but not a broad-minded one. «I want to be honest and strict like a mother”he explains, «in any case with great sincerity, because according to but from 10 years (the boys, ed) can and have the tools to understand the truth of things well.”

Then he defines I sing generation a program of music, light, which must be a celebration with lots of joy and happiness. I would like these kids to bring the experience of fun with them. This doesn’t mean that we will always be too sweetened and too good, because otherwise it wouldn’t be a competition. And yet it’s a full-fledged competition.”
