AND everything ready for final of I sing generation. Tonight at 9.30pm on Channel 5 the last episode airs of the talent show hosted by Gerry Scotti starring young singing talents. On the jury, Claudio Amendola, Al Bano, Orietta Berti and Michelle Hunziker.

Of the 24 competitors in the race, only 12 remained. In the semi-final the teams became two, captained respectively by Iva Zanicchi, Mietta and Cristina Scuccia and by Fausto Leali, Anna Tatangelo and Benedetta Caretta. From the first group Andrea Carpinteri (13 years old), Carola Boccadoro (14), Daniele Mattia Inzucchi (14) and Samuele Spina (14) passed.
Pietro Agnello (14), Aurora Castellani (14), Maria D’Amato (14) and Laura Pizio (14) were eliminated. The competitors of the second, however, all obtained a place in the final. I am Andrea Thomas Urru (13), Elia Pedrini (10), Erin Kochi (12), Lorenzo Sebastiano (14), Martha Viola (14), Nicole Corrente (12), Rocco Pepe (14) and Sofia Leto (14).
The latter achieved quite a record. For the first time since the beginning of the talent show, in fact, the judges awarded four 10s. The song with which she won them over is Goodbye love bye.

For the winner a trip to New York and a cover
During the final, the team mechanism ceases. Each young singer competes solo. It’s a free-for-all until the winner is announced. Up for grabs there is a greedy prize pool. We start from a training course at the New York Film Academy in the Florence office, followed by a trip to the Big Apple. Here is a visit to the temple of musicals par excellence: Broadway.
It doesn’t end here, because the collaboration with R101 it is also fruitful on a work level. The official radio of the program offers the possibility of recording a cover. And thus provide an important tool for entering the recording world.
The contestants eliminated in previous episodes
The five previous episodes saw 12 other competitors perform, in addition to the four already mentioned eliminated in the semi-final. They are Angelica Zina Cottone (12 years old) and Marta Di Domenico, from the Mietta team. Giulia Murrai (14) and Lorenzo Zambolin (12) competed with Iva Zanicchi. Ashley Bocar (12) and Davide Di Domenico (11) were followed by Cristina Scuccia.
Nicole Malizia (13) and Sophia Marino (14) were part of Anna Tatangelo’s team. They all demonstrated that they possess extraordinary singing skills and that they know how to try their hand at a vast repertoire. In fact, not only the songs of the moment, closer to their age, but also classics of Italian and international music, including the most famous songs of their respective team leaders. And the latter also got involved, experimenting with different genres in turn.

I sing generationa successful bet for Canale 5
The program returned to the air after ten years with the fifth edition. For the occasion the format has undergone a small change in the title and from I sing has become I sing generation. A completely renewed cast, except the host, who has always been Gerry Scotti.
For several years now, TV has been drawing on the past. Dig into your archives and propose again – or tries to propose again – successful titles in the hope of winning over the public again. The results aren’t always uplifting or mind-blowing, and ratings can suffer as a result. In the case of I sing generation it was quite a risk. The result, however, is more than valuable.
The guarantee is the tenant. Scotti, with his courtesy, his elegance and his paternal way of welcoming his guests, recreates a family atmosphere. Then there are the judges. Four pillars of music and TV, which viewers love. Last but not least, the race. Over twenty years of talent shows teach us that the challenge between competitors is compelling, if well packaged and made attractive.
Regarding the ratings, I sing generation it settles at an average of almost 3 million of viewers with over 20% share. A result in line with the Canale 5 average, therefore a successful bet.
