Investor Lars Windhorst refrains from submitting his own proposal for the presidency of the Bundesliga club Hertha BSC.

He will not “put up his own candidate,” said the spokesman for Windhorst’s tennor holding company, Andreas Fritzenkötter, to the “kicker” on Wednesday.

The candidates Ingmar Pering, Frank Steffel, Kay Bernstein, Michael Baumgärtner and Marvin Brumme have currently made themselves available for the election on June 26 at the Extraordinary General Meeting.

“We do not evaluate the individual candidates,” said Fritzenkötter, “but Mr. Windhorst very much welcomes the unanimity of the Supervisory Board in nominating Frank Steffel. From his point of view, this is a correct and strong signal for unity and a new beginning at Hertha”.
