Investigation message: Public prosecutor is looking for information about found body in Ostend harbor channel

The body was spotted on Saturday, August 6, by a vessel attempting to enter port. The victim was retrieved from the water of the fairway around 7:10 a.m. According to the first information from the prosecutor’s office, it was a woman between sixty and eighty years old. So far, her identity has not been traced.

The woman is 1m56 tall, ostrich built and has blond or brown hair. She may also be identified by a scar on her lower right leg. In addition, the woman wore a black T-shirt, with the pattern of an anchor and with the inscription ‘Ibiza’. The victim was also wearing blue jeans with a brown braided belt and a burgundy zip-up hooded sweater. Her mid-high black lace-up boots were a size 38.
