Invaluable or very fake: here you can have your objects appraised

Do you know the television program Between Art and Kitsch? That people visit the appraiser with a dusty painting from the attic or an heirloom of Aunt Nel, and come back with an illusion richer or with dollar signs in their eyes? This is now also possible in Zoetermeer.

On Thursday 1 September, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., art garage Franx is organizing a free valuation day in collaboration with the experts from Vendu Rotterdam.

Paintings, sculptures and jewelry

Vendu Rotterdam’s experienced appraisers will give free advice that day about objects brought along, such as paintings, sculptures, silver, jewelry and watches and (Chinese) porcelain. You can take a maximum of three items. Perhaps you have had a Van Gogh in the cellar for years that you never knew about.

Before you show up at Kunstgarage Franx with your belongings, it is important to register in advance for the valuation day. You can do this via the Vendu Rotterdam website. You also indicate which items you are taking with you. Possibly objects can be collected on site for the auction.
