The 38-year-old State Secretary for Asylum and Migration is experiencing one of the most turbulent periods since she took over the cabinet last summer. The eviction of a squat full of asylum seekers was chaotic, the reception crisis weighs on her and she feels opposition within her own government. “Some parties are in a tunnel and are blind to the system errors.”
