Lukas Dhont was ten years old when he filmed his first script (‘Coconut Island’) at home in Dikkelvenne in self-made sets. Today, some twenty years later, he wants to win an Oscar for Belgium with ‘Close’, his second feature film. “Being catapulted back to one’s own youth: that’s the gift we give the viewer.”
