Lawyer Walter Damen already referred to him in his interview last week: Dirk Draulans, biologist and co-candidate in the VTM program ‘De Verraders’. Hannelore also quickly mentions his name in this conversation. It must be that Draulans left a strong impression. “Dirk would no doubt have a very interesting theory as to why so many candidates suspected me from day one,” Hannelore says. “How one person puts forward a traitor and how that name spreads among the others like wildfire.” (For those who haven’t seen ‘The Traitors’: there are eighteen participants, of whom fifteen allies and three traitors. They ‘kill’ at night and thus try to reduce the group of allies. At a round table, the group also votes every day who they want to be banned.
