gettex is operated by Bayerische Börse AG and is an electronic trading system for securities. With what goal was gettex founded?
The aim was to combine our expertise in stock exchange trading with the changed requirements of investors. On the one hand, they demand high quality when executing their securities orders and, on the other hand, do not want to pay anything or not much for it.
What distinguishes you from other trading venues?
We are the only trading place where you can trade all listed securities permanently free of charge – and that with a stock exchange set of rules and an independent trading surveillance office.
What advantages can investors enjoy with gettex?
We combine all the advantages that are known from over-the-counter trading (no exchange fees, trading until 10 p.m., quote request procedure, wide range of products, free prices, …) with the advantages of an exchange (independence, exchange rules, independent trading surveillance office, limit trading). , complete transparency).
This means that investors can do without off-exchange trading because they get even more service on gettex without having to pay any fees.
What can be traded on gettex?
Currently around 350,000 certificates from the issuers Goldman Sachs, HSBC and HVB/Unicredit as well as 7,700 shares, 2,400 ETFs, 4,000 funds, over 14,000 fixed-income securities and almost 100 crypto ETPs.
What distinguishes gettex from other stock exchanges when it comes to certificate trading?
We offer free trading in certificates on a permanent basis and for all issuers – i.e. like over-the-counter trading, but with the advantages of stock exchange trading.
2022 was the best year in gettex’s young history. They were able to increase order book turnover by almost 40 percent and trades by 50 percent. What are your goals for 2023?
We want to connect additional order flow providers and issuers while maintaining our high service quality. Looking at the figures so far, we are also confident that we will continue to grow in 2023.
