The cabinet wants to oblige childcare organizations to keep the overviews of deployed professionals and the attendance lists of children for six weeks. The obligation applies to day care and after-school care. The government is starting an internet consultation, on which people can give their response to the amendment to the Childcare Act Regulation until 17 September 2023.
Clear administration is important for good business operations. In addition, keeping the overviews facilitates supervision by the GGD of childcare. Based on the overviews, the holder of the childcare organization can demonstrate that the childcare center meets the requirements for the professional-child ratio, the three-hour rule and the fixed face criterion. The holder must be able to provide the overviews of the past six weeks during an inspection. It sometimes happens that holders do not keep this information (properly) or do not provide it (clearly). In that case, the supervisor cannot properly assess whether the childcare organization meets the requirements.
Respond to the internet consultation up to and including 17 September 2023
The amendment to the Childcare Act Regulation is now online for internet consultation. Anyone who wants to can respond and give his/her opinion on the regulations.
