International match against the Netherlands: chance for Schlotterbeck

Amsterdam (AP) – The German national soccer team is contesting the World Cup endurance test against the Netherlands in the evening in Amsterdam with Nico Schlotterbeck and Jamal Musiala in the starting lineup.

The 22-year-old Freiburger Schlotterbeck can prove himself again in the center of defense after his debut in the 2-0 win over Israel. He plays alongside Chelsea’s Antonio Rüdiger, who is making his 50th appearance at the Amsterdam Arena. The 19-year-old Bayern professional Musiala runs alongside Ilkay Gündogan in defensive midfield.

Overall, national coach Hansi Flick made four changes to the starting lineup compared to the start of the year against Israel last Saturday. Captain Manuel Neuer returns to the goal, this time alongside Rüdiger, Munich’s Thomas Müller and Leroy Sané also start.
