International football: Bielsa becomes national coach of Uruguay

Argentinian Marcelo Bielsa is Uruguay’s new national soccer coach.

The 67-year-old is to contest the Copa America next year in the USA with the two-time world champion and lead the “Urus”, who failed in the preliminary round in Qatar, to the 2026 World Cup finals.
