International Court of Justice gives Ukraine permission for proceedings against Russia, Belgium also supports the case

The International Court of Justice (ICJ) on Friday allowed dozens of Ukraine’s western allies to support a case brought by Kiev last year following the Russian invasion. The highest UN court concluded that the intervention statements of 32 countries in this case are “admissible”, authorizing, among others, Belgium, France, Great Britain and Germany to support Ukraine. The United States did not get that permission.
