The trickle of attacks on socialist headquarters continues to occur every night and also during the investiture debate a PSOE deputy was attacked. The tension is increasing and the Ministry of the Interior is providing an escort for socialist leaders who have not had one since the time when ETA was active. This is the case of the Secretary of Organization of the PSOE, Santos Cerdan, as El Periódico de España has learned, from the Prensa Ibérica group. As confirmed by sources from Ferraz, the number three and visible face of the investiture negotiations with Carles Puigdemont, “has an escort again.” As a socialist councilor in his town of Milagro (Navarra), he spent twelve years with an escort.

The deputies went to have breakfast at a bar near the Upper House at 7:30 a.m. and there they were identified by a group of protesters who, upon leaving, insulted them and threw eggs at them.
