Inter with work victory – Milan wins outnumbered

The Italian football cup winners Inter Milan continue to struggle in Serie A. Three days after the 0: 2 in the Champions League against Bayern Munich and a week after the 2: 3 against champions AC Milan, the Lombards struggled to a 1: 0 (0: 0) against FC Torino.

Marcelo Brozovic (90th) redeemed Inter with his goal, the Milanese now have twelve points in their account. International player Robin Gosens was not in the starting line-up for Inter and was substituted on in the 85th minute.

Inter’s arch-rivals AC Milan also had a hard time solving their task on Saturday night. The Rossoneri won 2-1 (1-0) at Sampdoria Genoa and climbed to second place. Junior Messias (6th) gave Milan the lead, Serbian international Filip Djuricic (57th) equalized.

Milan’s Rafael Leao (47th) saw the yellow-red card shortly after the restart. Nevertheless, veteran Olivier Giroud (66th, hand penalty) restored the lead.

SSC Napoli had previously celebrated another win with a 1-0 (0-0) win over Spezia Calcio and at least temporarily moved to the top of the table with 14 points. Giacomo Raspadori (89th) scored the winning goal. Atalanta Bergamo can overtake Napoli again on Sunday (12.30 p.m.) by beating the still winless promoted US Cremonese.
