Inter-Venice risk of postponement, another positive among the lagoons

The club announced a new case in the squad group without specifying the role. The Venetians already have 8 infected players, the postponement of Saturday’s match imposed by the new protocol would start on the ninth

In the afternoon, Venezia announced a new positivity in the team group and therefore we are on the razor’s edge. The Venetian club now has 15 positive members: what is certain is that eight are players, another 6 are part of the staff. The new Covid protocol, cleared through customs two days ago by the Ministry of Health, establishes that with 9 infected players the match must be postponed. However, Venezia did not specify whether the new positivity concerns a player who at that point would trigger the postponement of the match against Inter scheduled at San Siro on Saturday at 6pm. The match against the Nerazzurri, however, remains at great risk. If you reach the fateful threshold of nine positives you should then wait for the swabs of the last 48 hours before the match to test for any negativity. At that point the game would be played as scheduled, but it is obvious that we are talking about the extreme case (which is foreseen) with all the consequences of the case.

“In addition to the cases previously communicated, during today’s swab tests a further new positivity to Covid 19 emerged. After informing the competent health authorities, the cardholder was placed in isolation according to current regulations and will follow the procedures provided for by the health protocol” states the note of Venice.
