Inter, season tickets for sale and record fans

From Saturday, at the Nerazzurri, the sale of season passes will be available for those who signed up on the waiting list in 2019, the last time the season ticket campaign was launched before the capacity reductions due to the pandemic

The second season of Serie A has ended without subscribers at Inter, but the Nerazzurri’s dominance has not stopped: for the eighth consecutive year, the Viale della Liberazione club boasts the largest following in the entire championship. Full support from the fans who pushed the club to touch the triplet with Simone Inzaghi on the bench and who is now having clear confirmations with the season ticket campaign for the 2022-2023 season.

A record-breaking cheer

In fact, with an official press release, Inter proudly reiterated the stratospheric numbers of the Nerazzurri year as a result of the Giuseppe Meazza stadium. The figure is impressive, over one million: 1,128,377 total attendances at San Siro, considering all 27 matches of the season in the various competitions. As far as Serie A is concerned, the Nerazzurri’s record was imposed both in terms of total spectators (854,983) and in terms of average per match (44,999). The championship match with the most fans throughout the year was also held at the Meazza: Inter-Roma on 23 April 2022, with 74,947 seats occupied. A true triumph on several fronts.

The race to the place

The month of June, however, is dedicated to the season ticket campaign. Until last Monday there was time to confirm the seat for season ticket holders for the 2019-2020 season (the last one before the stop), then two days dedicated to changing seats in the same sector and now, until Monday, yes can change sector. From Saturday the gates open – metaphorically – for those who signed up for the three years ago waiting list: they will be the first to be able to enter the circle of subscribers by occupying the cards of those who have decided not to renew, also as a reward for having touched the season ticket in 2019-2020. The first goal is to record the ninth consecutive year as Italy’s most generous audience, the second is to do it in a season that is the most successful possible.
