Was valid until 2023
As expected, striker Alexis Sánchez and Inter Milan have agreed to terminate the contract, which expires in 2023 – the Nerazzurri announced. There are probably only formalities in the way of the 33-year-old Chilean moving to Olympique Marseille and thus to his fourth top league after Serie A, LaLiga and Premier League. He should sign with the southern French until 2024.
Inter had the 146-time national player in 2020 after a one-year loan, also as a result of a contract termination from Manchester United signed. However, Sánchez only had as little playing time in the league as last season at the beginning of his career. He was only on the pitch for 866 of a possible 2,430 minutes in Serie A, scoring five goals and setting up three more.
Transfer spending summer 2022: 46 million difference between Bayern and BVB
Marseille has spent 73.4 million euros on the transfer market so far this summer, only top club PSG is ahead of the club from the south of the country with 106.5 million euros in France (to the statistics). With Arkadiusz Milik (28), Bamba Dieng (22), Luis Suárez (24), Cédric Bakambu (31) and talent Aylan Benyahia-Tani (17), there are currently five professionals with the main position of center forward in coach Igor Tudor’s squad.
