One step away from the conclusion of the telenovela Lukaku, a piece is suddenly missing. Inter has practically found an agreement with Manchester United for the sale of André Onana: over 50 million with bonuses, deal closing and announcement tomorrow. At the same time, thanks to the finances obtained from the goalkeeper’s exit, Inter has also found an agreement with Chelsea to bring Romelu back home: 35 million is the amount the Blues have said yes to. Done deal? No, because part of Lukaku’s entourage cannot be found, it takes time, and so the player’s ok is missing at the most beautiful moment. In short, neither Chelsea nor Inter are able to get in touch with the man to whom the Belgian has entrusted the management of this negotiation, the controversial Belgian lawyer Sebastien Ledure. Among other things, the man is not new to reckless career twists and turns, last year he worked to bring Lukaku back to Milan on loan and now here’s another stunt: in addition to breaking the alliance with the Nerazzurri club, he separated his fate also from Roc Nation, the American agency that manages the striker himself and ready to do his job of mediation in the deal in total independence.

And now?

Beyond the possible influence of Ledure on the player, the new embrace between Romelu and Inter is temporarily delayed. After all, the lawyer has worked a lot behind the scenes in recent weeks, first offering the player to Milan and then flirting with Juve. The Bianconeri would be willing to spend a similar amount to Inter’s for the player, but only after the possible sale of Vlahovic, not very close on the horizon. In this deal, the time factor is decisive because no one – neither Chelsea, nor Inter, nor Lukaku himself – can wait forever. In the end, then, it will be up to Romelu to make the final decision on his fate: it will be up to him to decide whether to keep the pact of blood and love with the Inter fans or seek a new adventure elsewhere.
