Inter, Audero after Sommer if Trubin doesn’t arrive: the goalkeepers

The N. Sampdoria’s 1 is the Nerazzurri’s plan B in case they fail to snatch the Ukrainian from Shakhtar Donetsk

There is optimism about Yann Sommer: Bayern Munich should close shortly for Brentford’s David Raya, thus freeing up the Swiss international for a move to Inter. However, the same cannot be said of Anatoliy Trubin, given that the “big eyes” of appreciation that the goalkeeper dispenses on social networks do not correspond to a lowering of Shakhtar Donetsk’s economic demand for his price tag: the gap with the Nerazzurri’s offer remains very wide. Then, at the same time, the quotations of Giuseppe Marotta, Piero Ausilio and Dario Baccin’s plan B rise: it is Emil Audero, relegated to Serie B with Sampdoria.

The differences

Considering that Sommer would not accept moving to Milan without having the number 1 shirt, he will still be Simone Inzaghi’s owner. However, if with Trubin the project would be to make him grow gradually over the months up to deploying him from the first minute once he is deemed ready, with Audero it would be different. The address in viale della Liberazione seems clear: either you invest a reasonable amount in Ukrainian, or you go to a profile low cost. The economic conditions will be discussed later, but Audero would be a perfect name for that position. Although Emil defended the posts of a struggling Sampdoria, in recent years he has repeatedly shown off and everyone knows his qualities. He would guarantee serenity in the event of Sommer’s absence and does not require acclimatization time. Obviously, he himself appreciates the possible transfer. In case he arrives, the owner of the future will perhaps be thought of in 12 months.

Negotiation

In the event that the respective leaders sit around a table to negotiate, initially the positions could be distant, even if the impression is that the road can be found without major hitches. Of the Nerazzurri’s desire to give back low cost the operation has already been mentioned, but it is understandable that Sampdoria prefers to monetize: on the other hand, the Genoese club paid Juventus 20 million euros for him in 2019. The card in Inter’s hand is that, however, his salary is off the scale for a Serie B and therefore the Blucerchiati have every interest in reducing their salary. The contract until 2026, in fact, is not a factor. Indeed, it could open a window for a loan that would clearly be convenient for the buyer: Sampdoria could push for a redemption obligation, Inter could divert to a right of redemption. At the moment this is almost a fantasy market, but the situation needs to be monitored. At the end of July, Inzaghi pushes for his goalkeepers and Audero is probably hoping for a phone call.
