Concern for Madonna (64)! The singer was in intensive care for several days. Now she has to postpone her planned tour.
A statement from her manager, Guy Oseary, said: “On Saturday June 24, Madonna developed a severe bacterial infection which resulted in a stay in intensive care for several days.”
According to a report by Page Six, Madonna was found unconscious on Saturday. Then she was taken to a hospital in New York City.
She was said to have been intubated for at least one night before the tube was removed. Her daughter Lourdes Leon was by her side the whole time.
The manager: “Her health is improving, but she is still under medical treatment. A full recovery is expected.”
The singer was scheduled to kick off her worldwide “Celebration” tour on July 15. Concerts in Cologne and Berlin are also scheduled for autumn.
