It’s not always the best time to boil whole potatoes. Sometimes there isn’t enough time to wait for the potatoes to cook, and sometimes the price of electricity is so high that you don’t feel like keeping the pot on the stove for 20 minutes. Chef Risto Mikkola comes to the rescue. He recommends slicing the potatoes before cooking.

The cooking time is significantly reduced.

If you don’t want to make slices, you can dice the potatoes, but then you need a longer cooking time.
