Instagram is changing its operations – criticism of the reforms

Instagram’s transformation into a Tiktok-like video service has not been to everyone’s liking.

Instagram, the social media platform owned by Meta, is making a complete change with the changes made to the service. The news comes shortly after the changes made by Instagram began to receive a lot of criticism.

The critics have included, among other things, the platform’s megastars Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner, CNN Business write.

Instagram users have been especially surprised by the changes to the way the platform displays content and to the method by which the social service pushes the content it recommends. Some users have experienced that they are being shown an inordinate amount of content from accounts they don’t even follow. Instagram has also tried a Tiktok-style solution, where social media content is spread over the entire screen.

Now the social giant has announced that it will put the experiments on hold and reduce the recommendations it presents to users.

Meta emphasizes that Instagram must change to keep up with the changing world. At the same time, however, it stated that it would take overtime to make things right.

Formerly Instagram boss Adam Mosser stated in a video published on the platform that the photos will remain on the platform.

– However, I have to be honest. I believe that Instagram will have more and more video content over time, Mosser stated.

In a later interview with Platformer, he stated that Instagram needs to take a backseat and reorganize.
