Instagram and TikTok museum Smile Safari will open its doors in shopping center Wijnegem from April | Inland

Instagram and Tiktok museum Smile Safari will open its doors on April 1, 2022 in the Wijnegem Shop Eat Enjoy shopping center. After several successful editions in Brussels, Kortrijk and Lille (FR), Smile Safari is making its debut in the Antwerp region, with a brand new experience.

Smile Safari has attracted more than 120,000 visitors over the past two years, including many influencers and artists, as well as families and groups of friends. To create the designs of the different spaces, with interiors of swings, optical illusions, video walls, neon signs, mirror rooms, karaoke booths, trampolines, ball pools, Caddilacs and more, the Smile Safari team collaborated with Belgian artists such as Dries Depoorter , Karen François, El Tipo and Pieter Boels.

Trip for the whole family

With the new location in the indoor shopping center Wijnegem Shop Eat Enjoy, Smile Safari aims at an audience from the wider region and also looks across the border to the Netherlands. Wijnegem is easily accessible by public transport and by car. By occupying a place in a shopping center, Smile Safari is once again marketing itself as ‘retailtainment’, a great trip that you can perfectly combine with a day of shopping. “The arrival of Smile Safari is completely in line with the course we have embarked on with Wijnegem Shop Eat Enjoy. Before that, we already regularly took actions on social media to continue to appeal to a young audience and with a Smile Safari in our complex, it can no longer go wrong”, says Katrien Geysen, General Manager Wijnegem Shop Eat Enjoy.

Smile Saloon

For the first time, Smile Safari will also open its own bar, the Smile Saloon, which will serve a fine range of colorful and tasty drinks and snacks. In previous exhibitions, well-known Instagrammers and TikTokkers regularly visited for meet & greets. That will be no different in this edition. “With the opening of a separate room for children’s parties and other events on the one hand and the Smile Saloon on the other, we are focusing even more on a total experience. After all, it’s not over after your visit to the expo, but you can enjoy a snack and a drink, while viewing and sharing the photos and videos together. That’s the path we want to take: to let people experience a great moment from start to finish that they can enjoy long after,” concludes Hannes Coudenys, creative director and founder of Smile Safari.

There will also be a special private room that will look as ‘instagrammable’ as the rest of Smile Safari. This can be hired to enjoy a snack and a drink before or after the exhibition, with your own catering or via one of the carefully selected catering partners.
