Inspectorate intervenes: Heineken is fined for ignoring the deposit law on cans

The Human Environment and Transport Inspectorate (ILT) has imposed a fine on Heineken for non-compliance with the rules regarding deposits. A deposit on cans has been mandatory since April 1, but the brewery still produces and sells non-returnable cans that are placed on the Dutch market. This was revealed last week by research on this site. The fine is 15 cents per can and can amount to 1 million euros.
