Pur if the right to study is enshrined in the Constitution, unfortunately this principle is not always respected. This happens most of the time with those economically disadvantaged students for whom completing a certain educational and professional path, perhaps too burdensome for the family budget, becomes impossible.
INPS scholarships: what it is
It is precisely in this case that it takes on a very important role the so-called scholarship. This is an economic benefit provided to undertake studies and undertake the desired path despite being in difficulty. In this regard, in recent days the INPS has published the competition notice for the awarding of its scholarships.
These are aimed at students in their final year of middle school and high school who stood out for their performance during the 2022-2023 school year. A call with a series of new features which is worth looking into and which, as the first piece of good news, offers 2,000 more scholarships than last year.
Who can request the financial benefit
The benefit made available by the Social Security Institute is reserved for the children of different categories of public employees, selected based on the results obtained in the 2022/2023 school year and the ISEE value of the family unit. Specifically, applicants must be students, children, or orphans and equivalent to employees or pensioners belonging to one of the following managements:
- Unitary management of credit and social benefits
- Management of master assistance
- Ex Ipost unitary management (only for the upper fifth)
- Employees of the Poste Italiane SpA Group and former IPOST employees and pensioners
For each of these three different rankings will be drawn up: the first for eighth grade students, the second for those in the first, second, third and fourth classes of high schools. And finally the last one for those who have successfully attended the fifth year of high school, obtaining the high school diploma.
