Due to the current development of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Innatex trade fair will not take place as planned from January 21 to 23 in the Rhein-Main Exhibition Center in Hofheim-Wallau. The organizers of the trade fair company Muveo GmbH do not want to cancel the winter edition of the platform for sustainable textiles, but only postpone it by a few weeks: “The organizers will offer a new date for mid or late February. They are currently coordinating with the exhibitors and expecting a result in the next few days, ”said a statement published on Tuesday.
“We hold constant talks with our exhibitors and know that the green fashion community needs a platform for winter orders,” explained Alexander Hitzel, the project manager at Innatex. “In view of the fact that other face-to-face events have been canceled this season, we see it all the more as our task to provide a meeting place for presentations, writing orders and networking – even if the conditions are once again difficult.”
According to the organizers, it has not yet been decided how the original trade fair concept will be adapted to the applicable rules. “We are in constant contact with the authorities, but we have to wait for developments before we move on to the design,” explained Hitzel. “We now know our way around and are prepared to be able to react to short-term political decisions and developments in the pandemic.”
