Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt will have to do without long-running favorite Jesper Lindstrom for “several weeks”.
The 23-year-old offensive player injured his ankle during team training on Wednesday. The Hessians announced this in the evening.
Among other things, Lindström will miss the second leg in the Champions League round of 16 at Italian top club SSC Naples on Wednesday next week (9 p.m. / DAZN). The Dane has not played in only one game in the current Bundesliga season, in the premier class he has been on the field in all games so far.
The Frankfurt offensive is badly weakened, Eintracht coach Oliver Glasner also has to do without French vice world champion Randal Kolo Muani in Italy. The 24-year-old saw the red card in the 2-0 first leg.
