A man was injured in a shooting on the Anske Lammingastraat in Amsterdam Nieuw-West at the end of the afternoon. Officers have arrested three suspects.
Around 5:35 p.m., several reports were received by the emergency services. Several police cars, ambulances and a mobile medical trauma team have been called. Photos show that officers were the first to provide medical assistance. After that, staff from the ambulance and the trauma team took over the care.
A police spokesman said the victim is approachable. He was taken to hospital by ambulance. A police helicopter hovered over the neighborhood for some time, but the helicopter has since flown away.
About an hour after the shooting, officers arrested the three suspects in a nearby home. The police suspect that it is a shooting in the ‘relational atmosphere’. “But that’s a conjecture, we don’t know for sure yet.”
The three have been arrested on suspicion of involvement in the shooting.
