A stabbing took place on Rivierenlaan in Purmerend this morning, and someone was injured. The police are looking for a suspicious man.
The stabbing was reported to the emergency services at 10:35 am.
It is not yet clear what exactly happened. The police are currently investigating this, a spokesperson said. “Colleagues are now doing their work, so there is no more to say about that at the moment.
One person has been injured. “Nothing is yet known about the victim’s condition,” the spokesperson said.
The police released a description of the suspected perpetrator via Burgernet. It is a white, bald man. At the time of the stabbing he was wearing a gray work jacket.
Photos show that the street is cordoned off with ribbons. The police recommend not to approach the man yourself, but to call 112.
