The base interest rate on the ING Savings Account will increase from 0.35 percent to 0.45 percent. The fidelity premium increases from 0.65 percent to 1.05 percent. The fidelity premium is only acquired if savings remain in the account for at least one year.
ING also has a savings account into which a maximum of EUR 500 can be deposited each month: ING Tempo Sparen. The interest on those booklets will rise sharply: the base interest will rise from 0.70 percent to 0.75 percent and the fidelity premium from 0.70 percent to 1.50 percent. Together that is 2.25 percent.
ING customers who still have an old savings account with ING, such as the Green Savings Account, Orange Savings Account, Lion Premium Savings Account or Lion Deposit, are left with a lower fee. ING does increase the interest on those books, but not to the level of the ING Savings Account. The base interest rate rises from 0.40 to 0.55 percent and the fidelity premium from 0.10 to 0.15 percent, so only 0.70 percent added together.
