ING customers who use the bank’s app are currently receiving an update. This includes several new functions.
With more than nine million customers, ING is now the third-largest bank in Germany, partly because of the comprehensive range of online banking services. ING is currently rolling out an update for its “Banking to go” app. This enables customers to set new savings targets and gives them faster access to the new cash function.
Update for ING Banking to go app
Anyone who uses the ING app always ends up directly on the account overview. The main account can then be seen at the top, with the extra accounts listed below. In future it will now be possible to set and edit a precise savings target for the latter. Previously, this was only possible via Internet banking access. Having a visual savings goal in the app can sometimes help with the savings itself. If the sum is reached, you can push it to the main account.
Another innovation that according to the Release Notes on the App Store should come with the update to the ING app, revolves around the current share prices. These can already be viewed via the bank’s app. Now the topicality should be guaranteed even better. The ING app updates the data every second. In addition, there should be new filter options in the mailbox. The update should also contain minor bug fixes.
ING cash at a glance
After the update, it should also be possible to store the still new “ING cash” function in quick access. There you can currently accommodate four features that you use particularly often, such as the post box, the transfer function, ATM search or the so-called small change plus. The four selected areas can then also be seen at the top of the account overview in the ING app.
ING cash was only launched in November 2022 – TECHBOOK reported. It is about being able to make deposits and withdrawals not only at the machine or in the branch, but also at the supermarket checkout. To do this, ING is working with the Berlin company Viafintech. As of now, ING customers can withdraw or deposit money in over 12,000 branches, including large chains such as Rewe and Rossmann. However, there is a limit of 999.99 euros within 24 hours and a small fee of 1.5 percent of the deposited amount for deposits.
To store a function in the ING app for quick access, go to the menu overview at the top left. Under “Settings” you will find the “Quick access” option at the top. Activate this and select four features that you use particularly often.
