Inflation could rise even more with further escalation in Ukraine

The already high inflation could rise further if the conflict in Ukraine intensifies and as a result even more have to be paid for gas and oil. In such a scenario, inflation could reach 9.5 percent this year. That is the view of De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB), which states that the forecasts are very uncertain due to the unclear future of the war in Eastern Europe.
