The public prosecutor’s office in Frankfurt/Main is investigating suspected infidelity against a former representative of the German Football Association.
On Thursday morning, the Frankfurt Public Prosecutor’s Office (specialist public prosecutor’s office for economic criminal matters) inspected the business premises of the German Football Association e. V. (DFB), the private apartment of a former DFB officer and the business premises of five companies were searched!
Involved in the raid in Hesse, North Rhine-Westphalia, Baden-Württemberg, Berlin and Bremen: around 70 officers.
That’s what it’s all about: A former DFB manager is said to have concluded a service contract with a communications agency on behalf of the DFB. The DFB is said to have paid 360,000 euros to the communications agency for this.
However, the contract is said to have been just a sham contract, so there should not have been any reimbursable services. The public prosecutor’s office in Frankfurt is therefore investigating on suspicion of infidelity against the former DFB manager and on suspicion of aiding and abetting infidelity against a manager of the communications agency.
