Ines Ballester is one of the proper names of Telemadrid’s summer programming. After the first season of ‘The song of my life’, the communicator has returned to the Madrid public channel to present ‘Together and…’ with Ricardo Altable, a space with eight thematic episodes in which the presenters, accompanied by four collaborators, reel off on the set, in addition to humor, topics such as the great performers, Latinos, the song of the summer, the number ones, the contests, Eurovision and the legends of the song. YOTELE talks with Inés Ballester about her new program on the Madrid public channel, among other things.
This summer we can see you in ‘Together and…’, one of Telemadrid’s new bets in its prime time. How would you define this space?
It’s a fresh, summer, family program where we are going to remember things that unite us, for example in the program that is going on this week: Latinos, they are people who marked an era. Or the Song of Summer. There is no summer without Georgie Dann, without mayonnaise, without a bunch of songs that unite several generations and shape our lives.
Are you nostalgic? Do you think any past time was better?
No. Any time that is to come is going to be better. But I really enjoy remembering the moments that have made me laugh or cry.
‘Together and…’ is made up of 8 programs in which you will discuss Latin music, competitions, Eurovision… very popular topics, in which we all have experiences and opinions. Do you think this factor is key for the viewers to like the show?
Totally. We all like to talk about what we know and listen to the songs we know. but I have a maxim which is to always tell something that has not been told. The key is that although we are talking about people who are well known, there is always a nuance, an experience, an anecdote that we did not know. The key is that even though we know his whole life, there are still things that make you understand why that person has gone down in history,
On this occasion, you share presentation tasks with Ricardo Altable, another iconic face of Telemadrid, with whom you had already met on 13TV. How is it to work with him?
It’s like being with a brother. We know each other so much that by looking at each other we already know what the other thinks. Working as a couple is not easy but Ricardo makes it easy. You know that with him there will never be a fuss or anger. Everything he brings is fun and, on top of that, in this program, he is out.

I hope and wish and trust that it will be so. We have left many people who deserve a special program. For asking I would like it to be live with a live band. It is such a complete program, with the archive, the guests… you will see how it will be imitated on other televisions
