Indya Lebbe (2), girl who received experimental medicine for a rare form of leukemia, has died | Instagram HLN

“Our precious little girl Indya took her last breath on the evening of November 14th,” Dieter and Sheila posted on Instagram. “She slept peacefully in our arms, having spent her final days surrounded by family and loved ones. We don’t know how to live our lives without her, but we trust that she will guide and inspire us, as she always has.”

Little Indya Lebbe has been battling acute myeloid leukemia (AML) – the deadliest form of the disease – since she was six months old. The girl has already undergone several treatments and operations, but in vain. Her only hope was an experimental drug from Elucida Oncology called ELU-001. The drug was then in a testing phase and it appeared that the parents’ request would be denied. At the end of August, her parents received the good news that she would receive the medicine after all.

LOOK. In August, Indya’s parents appealed to save their daughter with a new medicine.
