He Ministry of Industry and Tourism has published an extract from the basic order of the first announcement of the Strategic Project for Economic Recovery and Transformation (PERTE) of Industrial Decarbonization corresponding to the comprehensive line of action for the decarbonization of the industry manufacturing, equipped with 1,000 million euros. The full text of this order will be published in the BOE next Saturday the 30th.
This call, in non-competitive competition, is divided between 500 million euros that will be awarded in the form of grant and another 500 million euros in the form of loanof which the Commercial Companiesboth state and private, that carry out industrial activity and that execute projects that decarbonize the industrial facility.
He term presentation of requests will be between January 24 and April 17, 2024. And these companies individually or in group with other industrial companies, knowledge-providing companies or energy services companies as long as they contribute to the decarbonization of the industrial facility.
In a statement, the Minister of Industry and Tourism, Jordi Hereupointed out that with this order and the call for aidsthe Government “fulfills the commitment to support the industry in its transition towards models and processes that are more respectful of the environment and contribute to the goal of climate neutrality in 2050.”
The areas of action of this line of aid are direct emissions reduction of the industrial installation, aimed at the decarbonization of energy sources, the comprehensive energy management of industrial processes, the decarbonization by reduction of natural resources or the capture, storage and use of carbon; as well as the substantial improvement of the energy efficiency by saving electrical energy; or renewable energy installations for self-consumption in the production processes of the industrial facility, among others.

The PERTE for Industrial Decarbonization as a whole foresees a public investment of 3,170 million euros which will make it possible to mobilize up to 11,800 million euros of total investment.
The investments in decarbonization of the manufacturing industry promoted through this PERTE will increase the competitiveness of the sector by around 10% and will mean the creation of about 8,000 jobs. In addition, it foresees a reduction in emissions that could reach more than 13 million tons of CO2 per year.
